A school project where things had been missed, extra change orders and extra costs incurred by the client. The previous inspection company the school hired charged them $17,000 for 4 days of air monitoring work. Mistakes were made on both sides however the client still had to pay for the mistakes and the work. The previous inspection company also missed items on the initial surveys and the school had to dip into their additional funds. This was due to an inexperienced technician lacking the knowledge and ability to find cost saving and efficient solutions.
Because the initial survey missed a number of items it caused a change order of $50,000. The entire project would’ve cost around $75,000 to work with the previous inspection company however once the client hired us we saved them about $50,000. We then saved them an additional $15,000 on abatement costs for window treatments. We pointed out better and more efficient ways to handle the abatement that ultimately saved time and money.
We pointed out containment methods and solutions that were far more cost effective and eliminated certain tasks they didn’t need to address. We did true due diligence and provided a true complete inspection. Many other inspection companies do not give a complete and transparent inspection and miss cost and time effective solutions. As a result the customer is thrilled with us and our work and is handing off additional work and projects to us.
